Design and fabricate unique tile shapes using 3D printing.
In this hands-on workshop, tiles were crafted from mud and agricultural waste, exploring eco-friendly alternatives in construction while the mold will be digitally fabricated with PLA to explore interlocking patterns.
This workshop aimed to provide an immersive, hands-on exploration into various natural materials and geometrical freedom though digital fabrication. Drawing inspiration from traditional patterns and exploring speculative geometries across different scales, we aimed to envision potential futures for architectural products. Discussions will encompass fabrication limitation, drying times and hydrophobicity.
Students collaborates in teams to create inventive tessellation results. These designs were printed and showcased on the campus grounds, providing tangible representations of the innovative ideas generated during the workshop.

Contribution
- Supervised and trained master students in 3D pritable models and tassellation logics
- Supervised students during the design phase to assure the printability of 3D models
- Defined the natural material mixtures (in terms of earth, natural fibers) used during the workshop.
